Volos is a city that has many universities and that means one thing. Mainly cities with many universities also have a very good nightlife as well because it is known that students love to spend their night out.

1. Republic bar

Recenlty moved to a bigger space in order to accomodate more customers as it is one of the best bars in the city. 2.Premiera Full of Live

The well-known and successful entertainment center of Volos is very high on the list of preferences especially of students and all kind of visitors! The most known way of nightclubs in Greece is called 'bouzoukia' which means live music.You probably won't understand much of the music if Greek is not the language you speak but you will definetely enjoy your time being there are as the envrionemnt and the musicians will cheer you up. Also, you may see some people may be throwing plates at the performer's feet which was a practice popular until the 1970s when "plate smashing" was forbidden by law. Today it happens rarely, despite the belief of some foreigners that it is a widespread Greek custom. Another thing that you may notice is throwing flowers or other items that will not cause injury (e.g. napkins). Flowers are sold separately by the club's "wardrobe" in trays or baskets of ten or twenty pieces and are thrown en masse on artists, singers, dancers, and other spectators.
