And for those who loves a good hike and an exercise while on holidays Volos can offer an amazing path with breathtaking views.

At the border of Portaria with Makrinitsa, under the thick shade of plane trees, in a place that, because of its abundant vegetation, reminds of paradise, is the source of Adamana!

The source of Adamana is a few meters away from the sign that marks the exit from Portaria. Just opposite this sign, there is parking where you can leave your vehicle.

The source of Adamana is the starting point of a unique experience. From this point begins the path of the Centaurs.

The path unfolds between plants, brooks, plane leaves, wooden bridges and sounds of nature that give life to an explosively beautiful landscape and thousands of ancient myths! In spring the river flows incessantly and the landscape is lush and during autumn it gets a more melancholy look due to the color of the dead leaves, which are predisposed to the coming of winter.

Don't miss this stroll through nature next to the brooks flowing from above! Highly recommended as one of the best locations in Pelion.

In Adamena there is also the Meli coffee

and more, one of the most atmospheric cafes in Pelion. Those who get there don't forget to visit for coffee, drinks or sweets. Meli operates year-round, offering its guests hot and cold drinks, drinks and sweets.

Sit down by the fireplace in the cold days and enjoy a therapeutic mountain herbal tea or hot chocolate and sit outside in the summer, enjoying the coolness of the square trees. Regardless of the season, ask for the amazing tarts offered by the store as well as the dreamy lemon pie and chocolate pie.

That is all for now my happy hikers and don't forget to try these amazing sweets! It is going to be the reward of your hike!

Till then, keep safe and enjoy every moment

xoxo

Eva :)
